whee!
now that's the way a weekend should start...karaoke and shopping! yay!
i got to hang out with alex last night. that was awesome. i really enjoy being able to hang out with friends that i haven't seen in awhile. i love catching up on what's been going on. and i got to try linda's cheese fries last night. yum! after a few drinks at linda's, it was over to bub's for karaoke. it wasn't crowded at all, so i got to do lots of karaoke. of course it's really intimidating when your friend is in a singing group and can really out-sing ya. :-p alex did the beatles "hey darlin'" really well. and he lent me money for a drink since bub's doesn't take cards. awesome. i got to sing 4 songs last night so that was great! :) i was seriously tipsy/drunk by the time i got to the last song of the night...haha.
and then today, my sarah from home came to visit. and we went shopping. i love shopping. i found a lot of useful and generally good stuff at supertarget. we managed to drive thru durham with no problem and find northgate mall. that was cool, 'cause i got my first chocolate-chip cookie dough blizzard from dq in months! yum again. she got the outfit she wanted for her trip to ohio--and her really cool pen/ink to go with her new journal. i picked up yet another cd on our trip out. haha, i just can't get away from buying cds. but at least i got headphones for my ipod. and a cool messenger bag. and two margarita glasses for company! ooh, and a blazer for the fall. i can't wait to wear it. :-p i can't remember what else...but the trip was awesome. come visit again soon sarah! we can go hang out and go to franklin to be college students!
