Moral of the story: appreciate EVERY great album

So today I was browsing through the record collection and the $1.99 bargain bin at Atomic Records in the artsy-fartsy section of Burbank. All of a sudden, Beatles music filled the room. Classics such as "Because" filled the floor, followed by some songs I've definitely heard before, but have not played in a long-ass time. Now I was hearing them again, and I was singing along and my mind went completely blank. All these thoughts came in. Was it a bootleg I haven't heard? This is awesome psychedelic shit! Whaaat? They're singing in Spanish! I have never heard the Beatles record, or much less sing, anything in Spanish! So I contain the excitement about one of my favorite bands of all time, and actually develop the cojones to ask the tough-looking guy behind the counter about the record playing.

Our forgettable conversation went something like this:
Jeb: Um, excuse me, what's the CD playing?
Tough guy behind the counter: (giving me a "whatthefuck" look) IT'S ABBEY ROAD. And that's an LP playing.
Jeb: (now looking for a sinkhole so he could just shrink to the ground and disappear): Oh. thanks. (mentally bangs his head against a wall for being so disoriented)

That's what I get for underappreciating a classic such as Abbey Road just because I can't stop raving about other classic Fab Four stuff such as Rubber Soul and White Album. Moral of the story: appreciate every great fucking album for all their musical beauty, and know the songs by heart.

Whatever the case, I still got mortified.
