[The journal clicks on as it falls to the floor. Apparently its owner has very clumsily knocked it to the ground. The video stream is position so it's able to catch the edge of the bed and records a figure collapsing onto the mattress with an ungraceful fwump. The room is silent, except for the person's labored breathing as they struggle to shift ( Read more... )

[Hmm. She knows that hair. Luna watches the feed for a moment before shutting her journal and going to find a hairpin. And a basket. And a few other things.]

[Visitor incoming, Ramirez.]

[Take your time, feel free to let yourself in. He'll be in the same place Luna saw him. Probably in the same position. He's not up for moving right now.]

[She does indeed go right in. And she follows those open doors to Ramirez' room. Once there, she sets her basket down and kneels with her hands on her knees, watching him with her head slightly tilted.]

[What, are you going to stare at him until he wakes up? You might be there for a while.

But really, it's kind of odd how badly he's taking the aftermath of his kidnapping, as outwardly there is almost nothing wrong with him. Aside from the nasty skin color, there are no cuts, no bruises, no broken bones. Even his clothes are clean and well-pressed.

...Of course, I say "almost" nothing wrong because if Luna manages to catch a glimpse of his left hand not right, as I fucked up which side was which, she will notice a very small and precise hole running straight through his palm, as if someone took a power drill to it.]

[She's patient.]

[And he was gone for a long time - longer than anyone else she can remember off the top of her head, so this isn't striking her as too odd. It's like they exhausted him completely before they dressed him up and returned him.]

[But, eventually, she spots that hole. Her head tilts more, to inspect it a little better, then she pulls a small book from her basket - "Healing Charms for All Your Occasional Accidents" - and starts quietly paging through it.]

[He'll just lie here uselessly then, shall he? His eyes squeeze shut even tighter and his hand clenches into a fist against the mattress before unsteadily relaxing again, but other than that, he moves very little. He probably isn't even aware she's in the room.]

[Well we'll just have to fix that, won't we?]

[After flipping a few pages, Luna sets down the book and tries a simpler method first.]

[Sort of.]

You've been asleep too long, you know. It's time to wake up Ramirez, you should hear what you missed while you were gone. You were gone for quite awhile you know, so you have quite a lot to listen to, but you can only do that if you're awake.

[And she'll reach out to poke him softly in the cheek.]

[What do women have against him sleeping? He just wants to sleep this pseudo-hangover thing off and all you people are trying to have conversations with him. Because seriously, he didn't get a word of that.

He does feel that poke to the face though and almost instantly lashes out once she touches him, his hand clamping down as hard as he can on her wrist. Which, given the circumstance, isn't particularly hard. Luna could brush him off easily. This doesn't really mean he's awake though; that reaction was largely instinctual.]

[Who cares if you did or not. Luna easily pulls her hand away, frowning just a bit at him. That was not nice, Ramirez.]

Hmmm.

[She studies him a few minutes more, then pulls out her wand and taps him lightly on the arm.]

Ennervate.

[Whether it was the spell or not, that tap does wake him up. However, opposite of Luna's intention, her magic seems to have a profoundly adverse effect on him; his eyes spring open only to squeeze back shut again as he sucks in a harsh intake of air. His left hand clenches shut hard enough to turn the knuckles white, and remains in that tensed position. Stranger than his negative reaction to what should have been a harmless spell, though, is that odd, crystalline sparkle coming up from the wound in his hand - almost as if something is trying to push its way out.]
