Stargate Returns!
Been feeling under the weather today, so not much to post right now. I changed the layout of my journal a bit. There's just something about pink and black I like together.

Shanks Feels at Home on 'Stargate SG-1'
Part 2 of Season 9 premieres this Friday on SciFi, along with the second half of Stargate Atlantis' second season. I'm pretty eager to get back into these series, though I'm embarrassed to admit I'm a little fuzzy on where we left off with these stories.
I'm a pretty recent regular viewer. I enjoyed the original Stargate movie, but didn't have Showtime so I didn't get to see the SG-1 series right away. When it hit syndication, I caught an episode here and there and enjoyed it, but didn't get hooked enough to seek it out each week. I don't really remember why - it may have just been a time issue.
I have a few friends who've been fans all along, so I always figured I'd go ahead and jump on the bandwagon at some point. Then, I heard Ben Browder was joining the cast and that pretty much sealed it for me. :)
So I decided I had to get caught up last summer before I could watch season 9. Of course, this meant borrowing and renting 7 seasons and taping a marathon of most of the rest of the episodes. I think getting caught up was about a four or five month endeavor, but it was fun. I still need to rent season 8 and Atlantis to catch up on the 4 or 5 episodes I've missed of each.
Oh! And I just realized only one more week until Lost returns and only two until a new Veronica Mars! Yay. There should hopefully be a TV guide plot blurb on the 01/18 episode available later tonight.
And yes, I am desperate enough for "new" information on the show that I'm looking forward to a TV Guide episode description. :) I've been pretty spoiled for the series this season, but I'm seriously considering cutting back on the spoilers. I was going to wait until the spoilers for eps 15 or 16 broke, but now I'm thinking this long holiday dry spell might be the best time to cut myself off. Except for the TV Guide type of spoilers, anyway. Haven't decided yet. I may be back later tonight with some spoilery thoughts on the new ep description.
