from misinformations to Meryl
apparently, i got the wrong information and Hellboy 2 wasn't out yet and i've learned my lesson now, so my friend and i instead watched Journey to the Center of the Earth. the movie was really nice. it made me want to read the book now and maybe i will. odd to think that i never got a chance to read this book before, a book which probably every kid in the known world has read at least once in their lifetime. well, my lifetime isn't over quite yet, so i'm still in for the count.
i had a great time staying over at my friend's house to do some tv thon. i introduced her to the doctor with a PHD in horribleness and how the hotness of the terminator franchise went up a notch with Cameron as the new tin man. on the other hand, she did introduce me to this silly J-dorama she recently found called Shiori to Shimiko no Kaiki Jikenbo, which was described on the DVD cover as a "surreal horror comedy." i only got to watch one episode and it was more silly than frightening but i'll give the other 12 episodes the benefit of the doubt. it has two cute girls as the stars of the show so to me that's worth checking out in itself LOL i borrowed my friend's DVD and hopefully i'll have some time to watch it this week.
i totally forgot about IDF! i had so many things going on this weekend that that important event blew over my head. *arrgh!* i so wanted to make a small contribution and now i've missed it! i came back to a barrage of IDF fics though and i haven't finished trying to read them all. it's a fanfic reader's idea of heaven i tell you! i hope to write my feedbacks soon when i'm finished reading all the new wonderful stories posted recently.
tomorrow is a work day and i so would rather stay home and read, but i'm trying to save up my leaves for next month. you see, my friends and i are planning a birthday weekend out of town. so off to work i have to go, but i imagine i'll be doing an emily impression throughout the day, going "I love my work, i love my work."
i've been itching to buy Happy Feet for the longest time, but i told myself i'm going to wait for the two-disc special. but today my patience finally slipped and found myself going to the counter and buying the DVD anyways. i got home and readied the player and when i opened the plastic, it had two discs in it! one for the special features! woo hoo! it was funny because there was no indication on the cover that it had two discs but i don't care right now! i was just sooo very happy. stil am. i'm easy to please like that.
visiting the magazine section dozens of times had finally paid off for me, i finally found a local magazine with Meryl as the cover (well, together with her Mamma Mia costars of course), but it made mer really happy! the article inside is not the greatest and it only spanned two pages, but it was still worth buying says the fangrl in me.
i didn't get a chance to see The View last Friday, but i found it uploaded! woo hoo!

and now i must go to bed if i am going to work as less of a zombie tomorrow today.
