Where does the good go?
I should be using this beautiful MacbookPro to work on the next big fashion label, Rehnuma Tajbin, but alas, I am updating LJ for the first time in over 2 months. She'll still be there in 10 minutes.
My summer has been a whirlwind. Hating real estate, doing fashion art direction, moving to JP and painting and decorating and celebrating, watching Project Runway, seeing nearly every movie that comes out, dog sitting for giant schnauzers, dating boys from match.com, riding the weight loss roller coaster, getting burnt the beach, meeting new people, loving old people, and the ever-constant spending lots of money I don't have.
But onto my (hopefully soon-to-be) glamorous career as a fashion art director.
Rehnuma is my good friend who used to be a real estate agent at C21. She is an amazingly talented artist and shows in various galleries in the area. She's recently transitioned into fashion and the first collection to be launched is hand-rolled silk scarves created from her artwork.
Here's some examples featuring my beautiful and talented roommate Becca and another model:
So riding on these gorgeous scarves, and some sketches of handbags, Rehnuma got into Moda Fashion Week in NEW YORK & PARIS!!!!!!!!! So that is where I will be for a week in February and April. :)
Those who have a Tara weight tracker, it's at 192.6 at last count, a little over a week ago. We shall see the new total on Saturday.
Work and then Project Runway (hey, it's RESEARCH!) beckons, so lates!!
