Chapter Thirteen

Forty-five minutes later found the girls stepping back from their creation. Somehow, with their combined skills, they had managed to turn Jensen into the perfect Jane.

“I - “ Danneel stuttered. “I will never doubt you again, Genny.”

Genevieve beamed. “Thanks, Dan, that mean a lot to me.”

“So I guess I pass the test?” Jensen smiled, standing to do a half-turn in front of the girls.

Danneel held a hand to her ear with a frown. “Sorry, I can’t hear you - try it again?”

The accent back in place, Jensen repeated himself, “So, I guess I pass the test?”

“More than pass.” Danneel asserted, “Hell, I’ll be surprised if Misha doesn’t proposition you.”

“Misha?” Jensen asked. “Nah, he’s too smart to fall for this.”

“You want to make a friendly wager? Danneel adjusted the Ariel wig she was putting on.

Jensen’s hands went to his hips in a clear mockery of what she had done earlier. “Oh, you’re so on.”

Danneel mimicked his imitation of her usual stance. “How about Fifty?”

Jensen leaned closer, his voice barely a whisper, still using the accented voice. “How about a cool one hundred.”

“You’re that sure?” Danneel whispered back. “Because that kind of money is not chump change around here.”

Jensen leaned back crossing his arms on his chest - well, at least he tried, but he found it a bit frustrating trying to clear the newly created boobs before giving up. “Uh-huh. But be prepared to lose.”

“Oh, you’re going to be so surprised.” Danneel and Jensen were still sizing one another up when there was a knock on the door.

“Princess Patrol Squad B has fifteen before they go on,” a voice called out from the other side of the door.

“All right, Misha!” Sophia called back. “It’s go time guys - this is make it or break it time. And I would prefer making it to breaking it.”

**--**--**

Misha returned to collect them right on time. He looked at Jensen for only a few seconds before shrugging and gesturing them out the door.

“This is going to be the easiest hundred I’ve ever made,” Danneel leaned over to whisper to Genevieve. “Watch this.” She took the empty place beside Misha. “Hey Mister Misha Man?”

He turned to her. “Yeah, Dan-Dan-the Disney Fan?”

She had learned not to wince at the names he gave them, knowing they were created in love. “What do you think of our girl Jane?”

“Well, for starters, m’lady, I realize that’s not our beloved Sandy.”

Danneel bit her lip, afraid she had given away too much information.

“But don’t worry, Ariel,” Misha used a ridiculous Cajun accent as he whispered, “Your secret is safe with me. Now, how much of a cut are you offering me?”

“Cut of what?”

“Oh come on, you didn’t just grow legs yesterday - how much of a cut?”

“Forty percent,” Danneel offered, a grin on her face. “And make it good.”

“For forty I can give you a quick pick-up attempt. For fifty, I can ask him to dinner. But, for sixty -“ Misha leaned closer to her ear, “For sixty, I can pretend to not take no for an answer for, let’s say, two days?”

Danneel thought for a brief moment before the smile crept across her face. “I’ll take the sixty percent action.”

Misha grinned back. “They always do - “

Danneel frowned at Misha’s answering eyebrow quirk before falling back to join the others.

“No fair fixing the bet,” Jensen warned. “Or I get to call a penalty.”

“A penalty?”

“Oh yes - if I think you rigged this in any way, I can change the rules,” Jensen laughed at her.

“Okay, I’ll bite,” Danneel leveled her eyes and set her jaw. ”How would you change the rules?”

“Well, let’s see,” Jensen adjusted his skirt a bit as he walked. ”You’d owe me two dates - whenever I asked.”

“Two dates, huh?

“Look, I promise I’ll be a perfect gentleman - “ He laughed at the irony of that statement.

Danneel laughed, looking Jensen up and down. “Of course. How could you be anything less?”

“And they would include dinner and a movie - no funny business.”

“Something outside the park I presume?”

“If you want, yes.”

“Well, you won’t need to - “ Danneel countered, “Because there is no deception on my part.”

“Good.”

“Good.”

“All right, here’s where we split,” Misha said, “Cinderella?””

Sophia stepped forward with a curtsey, “At your service.”

“Topside for you and Belle here - “

Genevieve stepped forward to join her friend. “Usual location.” The two women set off in the right direction, leaving the other two with Misha.

“Ariel,” Misha looked down at his clipboard, “Prince Eric is on his way to meet up with us and our beautiful friend Jane here.” Misha leveled a smile-smirk in Jensen’s direction. “And for you, Jane, Dear, you should know you’re going to be appearing with Tarzan, but no Terk this year.”

“No Terk this year?” Jensen used the accent he had been rehearsing.

“Nah, don’t need her with Jared playing Tarzan. That man is just plain charming.”

“Jared?” Jensen questioned. He had met him, but only briefly and had heard from his roommate that this guy could sell water to a drowning man.

“Yep. Padalecki - usually plays Aladdin over in the bazaar, but with it being Long Lost Friends Week, he’s been reassigned.”

Jensen nodded in understanding. He himself had been hoping to get to play Prince Eric but only gotten a turn at Flynn Rider once as of yet, instead having to work at the entrance gate for a short while so he’d understand the inner workings of the park. He was just lucky he hadn’t been stuck down in the tunnel like Mikey had.

“So there you go, girls - stay safe and if you run into trouble, remember that help is only a hand signal away.” Misha stepped back when he saw the costumed silhouettes of Jared and Tom. “Good luck.”

Danneel smiled a tight smile at Jensen. This was the moment of truth.

“Not Sandy?” Jared drawled out as he approached Misha, Jensen, and Danneel. “So who do we have?”

Jensen swallowed a yelp as Danneel grinned over to Misha.

“Tell him your name, Princess,” Misha coaxed, perhaps leering a little more than he should have, but that might have been Jensen’s overactive imagination getting away with him again.

Jensen had to think quickly. “Mackenzie!” He blurted out, almost a little too forcefully.

Jared nodded in approval. “Nice. Can I call you ‘Mac’?”

“You can call me ‘Jane’,” Jensen asserted, quirking an eyebrow in an attempt to sound more forceful and in charge. After all, it worked for woman like Danneel.

“Well, then,” Jared flipped the dreadlocked wig he was wearing as Tarzan. “Tarzan like Jane very much.”

Tom was forced to roll his eyes even as he reached to take Danneel’s hand. “What a sap.”

“Oh, stop it, Eric. He’s in love,” Danneel giggled, slipping into her character

Misha laughed from somewhere behind them. “Go git ‘em, Jane!” He took the opportunity to swat Jensen on the butt, causing him to jump.

“Hands off Tarzan stuff,” Jared playfully swatted at Misha. “No touch.”

Jensen smiled at him weakly before looking over to Danneel, who looked surprised, to say the least.

“Okay, okay, you have fifteen minutes before the parade. Better get out there.” Misha ushered them forward.
