Taking Over The Asylum

Aug 23, 2008 23:46

I have just watched the first two episodes of Taking Over The Asylum on BBC4, and I think I've just fallen in love with DT all over again. How cute was he, all floppy hair and enthusiasm, stick thin and very Glaswegian, bounding around like an excited puppy. You can see the potential there, he almost acts Ken Stott off the screen. The foundations ( Read more... )

I guess I too am an old perv (47 in October). He is just so scrumptious in Takin Over the Asylum. The "bounding around like an excited puppy" he still does that. He shows so much promise of things to come. I do agree that the "age of the package" is irrelevant but god bless your 21 year old fiance. I've got a younger husband too although not that much younger. I think women are like fine wine, we get better with age!

'I think women are like fine wine, we get better with age!'

So true! And my gorgeous other half tells me that every time I get a little concerned over the age difference between us. He says he doesn't notice it, and it was never an issue with him. He says my life up to meeting him made me who I am now, and that was the person he fell in love with...(wonder if that makes me immature, or if he was just born too late lol)

I *love* Takin' Over the Asylum! XD One of my favorite DT series hands down. He is just so adorable there! And yeah, Campbell acts like the Doctor a lot, all crazy and manic :) I first saw it about a year ago and I still rewatch all of the episodes (it was one of those things I watched immediately after Journey's End for healing lol)

And as for age *pfft* I don't believe in age... Of course, I'm a girl just shy of 18 that is only attracted to men in their late 30s (*ahem* *Ten-inch*)and 40s (*ahem* *Ecclescakes*) ^_^ lol Age has got nothin' to do with it XD

Couldn't agree more love! My other half is strumming away on his guitar, laughing at me as I type, thinks I'm a bit mad for worrying about it, and what other people think. He reckons age is a state of mind, not a number. Wise little philosophy-loving bugger he is. Since he is older than his years, and I don't look my age, it seems we sorta meet in the middle lol.

I started to watch it on youtube and then got the DVD and absolutely loved it, even if the ending is heartbreaking. You'll have to watch the audition tape -- it's divine!

I'm kicking myself for missing it last night, but thankfully I've found some download links so I can catch up that way.

I'm a few years older than you but I flatly refuse to think of myself as an old perv! I've been lusting after David Boreanaz for the last 9-10 years and he's only 2 years older than my baby brother. David Tennant is a wee bit older than him, but to be honest I don't even think about age (his or mine) when my hormones are on overdrive *g*

Also? I've just read your User Info and we have so much in common (although my son is much older than yours) that I've added you to my F-list. Hope you don't mind.

I know what you mean about the hormones...that's how I've got a 21 yr old fiance heehee

Of course I don't mind love, I'll friend you right back...us hormonally challenged older fangirls have to stick together, after all LOL

Me and DT are juuust about the same age. I'm a couple years younger. And let me tell you, if I had watched TOTA when it first aired (not like I would have been able to, being all American and such), I would have then at the age of (counts on fingers) 17? Ish? I would have completely fallen head over heels for wee!David. Seriously teen crush like woah. When I was his age, he was already 100% my type. Yes, even the floppy hair and baggy clothes. It was the 90s. *Shrug*

So, really, it was inevitable that I have an older lady crush on him now. Or at least, that's what I tell myself.

Yep, I tell myself these kinda things too...one of these days I might actually start to believe myself LOL...and I SO would have, even then ( I woulda shown him the ways of an older woman *sniggers*)

I suppose having my gorgeous much-younger bloke helps to make me feel not so old too...doesn't make me want DT any the less though *smirks*
