This week, I am mostly writing...(an update on WiP's)
So. I am writing (not as much as I usually do, bearing in mind I have no laptop currently, and am looking after my mum following her recent hip replacement op), and oooh, the writers cramp is bugging me. I forgot how hard it is to write fic in longhand, especially when the brain is faster than the hand. And my handwriting is currently TERRIBLE!!! *sighs*
Since I have had to return Mum's books to the library, I thought I'd take the opportunity to update you all with the WiP's...so here goes.
Chance Encounters - My labour of love. A novel which started in NaNoWriMo, and is almost finished. It's chicklit; an unexpected meeting, with a few misunderstandings, followed by angst and big fluffy ending. I honestly think it may well be the best thing I've ever written...and it's semi-autobiographical.
Perseus - A Ten/Rose story, where the TARDIS lands on Earth's moon, it's orbit had deviated from the norm which is causing devastating climactic changes on Earth. They have to save the day, while discovering that their relationship is more complicated than either of them thought, and find that an alien race has subverted the moon's orbit for their own nefarious peurposes to try an capture the Doctor. A momentous desicion is reached which will have far-reaching consequences for both the human race, and the Doctor and Rose's relationship
Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast - Ten/Rose fluffy smutfic. Almost complete. Will rot your teeth, whilst requiring large amounts of ice. *grins*
Stander Of The Dark Watch - Torchwood/Jack Harkness. Angst, angst and more angst. My first foray into Torchwood!fic. Quite enjoying writing it, too. I loves me some angst, yes indeedy!
In The Heat Of The Moment - Peter Carlisle/Alt!Rose - yes folks, I'm doing Peter again (oh, how I wish LOL) 'Tis an angsty smutfic (well, what else could it be with Carlisle in it, hmm? ;) ...One of my current faves to write. Atmospheric, dark and delightfully twisted...*smirks*
Lessons In Love - Nine/Rose smutfic (well, couldn't leave him out, could I? *winks*) Spontaneous Human Combustion warning will be attached. Prepare to be incinerated with the hotness of a smouldering Nine, with a kink or two thrown in for good measure. *sighs and dribbles*
(Seeing_history, you're gonna have your work cut out LOL)
So there you have it. At some point in the next couple of weeks, when I can leave mum long enough to go get a new laptop, I'll begin typing them up and uploading. I'm also going to be moving to a different part of the country, too, but that's on hold for the moment until Mum is well enough to manage for herself.
Oh, and I'm also planning a wedding, too.
Hmm...could do with more hands and an extra brain or two. *shakes head*
Hah! Such is life. And I love it. Now back to work.
(oh btw - Hannah, the library currently has probs allowing access to Twitter, so I'll email you Friday when I have more time. Okay love *smooches*
