Right so I mentioned before that LOM is being shown on RTÉ2. I was watching it on Tuesday night and it felt really wierd. I didn't watch S1 when it was on TV, I only got into it when I got the DVDs, so watching it on TV was strange. But anyway yeah they left out some bits:
> Sam: If it was a chat up line, would it work?
Annie: *pause* No chance.
They had the rest of this conversation in, but not that bit. I would have thought this was fairly important, as it lets the viewers know Annie still totally wants Sam even though she's been ignoring him.
> The bit where Nelson teaches Sam and Gene how to work a pub. Now, they kept in the bit where Chris asks if either of them know anything about running a pub and neither of them do, so when they're suddenly in there doing it, it makes no sense!
> Almost the entire kind of "test run" where they practice working a pub. Including the bit with Gene trying to get Chris to say "and one for yourself" and the bit where Sam blatantly checks out Annie's...*ahem*...assets. Not hugely important but good for a laugh, and again making the viewer sure the Sam/Annie thing is still on.
Also rewatching this episode, I remembered how much I love the part where Gene slides over the bar and knocks out yer man. It's one of my favourite moments. Oh, and the guy that plays Pete is in 42! I knew I'd seen him before! *is a bad fangirl*
And Sam's "I went to see Doctor Who" will never cease to amuse me now. That and all the times Gene talks about learning from the master! *sigh*
