I was very upset when I found out last night, but I'm happy for him and very excited about his future. I'm looking forward to next year's specials, but absolutely dreading the last one.

In all my years of watching 'Doctor Who' I've never really had a favourite Doctor until Ten came along (Nine could have been, if he'd stayed). Ten is the Doctor for me now, and I'm only mildly curious about who will follow, but I'll keep watching.

I'm glad he's given us a year's notice to get our heads (and hearts) around the idea ;)

I'm also really looking forward to next year's specials, but I am rather curious to see how they make his exit. I'm sure it will be an amazing one. But I'm going to miss him so much!:(

I'm also glad he's given us a year's notice. And that he told everyone himself. I think I'd have a heartattack if I watched the last special and realized as I was watching that he was going!

I'm so glad he told us himself, bless him. The emotional trauma would have been too much to bear if they'd kept that a secret until the last minute

I agree. I know (from reading around) that some people are skeptical about his decision to reveal it the way he did, but I'm quite glad he did it himself.

And yes, there would have been unbearable emotional trauma...fan girls everywhere would be confined to bedrest and would be found sobbing hysterically underneath blankets. And I would be one of them. LOL!
