I'm in the airport ready to head home to Dragon*Con! I'm super excited about seeing both my biological family and the huge tribe of geeks at the con. I will be going in costume most of the time. I've got a TARDIS outfit (which I am referring to as my Sexy dress), a steampunk outfit, the femme ragedy Doctor costume I've worn before, and Amy's white outfit from A Good Man Goes to War (bootleg version, with thrift store find substituing for stupidly expensive designer white shirt).
That last costume is causing me some second thoughts. I've seen other people online accessorize it with a baby doll, but my occasionally sick sense of humor has come up with another plan. I've got a big plastic jar that I will be labelling "Melody Pond" and filling with fake Flesh (a mixture of corn starch and water, I think, since yogurt or pudding might start smelling funky if I carry it around all day.) Now I'm starting to worry whether this is in excessively poor taste. It is, after all, basically a dead baby joke. I turn to you, o flist, to sort out the wisdom of this costuming choice.
Poll Costume Quandry
(Arrgh, LJ why did you lose first draft of the initial part of this entry when I created a poll? Further arrghs directed at mechanical delays on this flight.)
