Peter's arm and other aspects of Heroes

Oh, Heroes.  This show continues to mix in just enough really good television with a whole lot of crud, so I can't quit watching but I'm never quite satisfied.

-Good:  We get to see a lot of Nathan!Sylar this episode, the character with what I feel is the most potentially interesting storyline.
-Bad (or at least less good):  The key word is "potentially"; the arc we have been presented so far is less satisfying.  It was interesting to see this Nathan doing some detective work and putting the pieces together in a way I'm not sure real Nathan would have and reacting with a conscience that plain Sylar certainly wouldn't, but I found the whole coverup of the former girlfriend's death to be somewhat yawn-inducing.  (However, gotta love the fact that apparently all of Angela's society friends are every bit as cold and plotting as she is.)  Also, I wish they weren't pulling out the reversion to Sylar's face quite so soon.  I wanted to see Nathan have a more drawn-out realization that something was wrong with him.  Well, if we're lucky this could still be interesting.

-Good:  I liked Claire's conversation with her dad.  Their father and daughter dynamics are one of my favorite part of the show, and I liked the reversal here. Claire shows flashes of great maturity, though like many people her age she sometimes regresses or screws up.
-Bad:  The Claire at college plotline continues to be full of cliches and dumbness.  I would like to hope that the girl kissing we saw in the preview for next week will be handled with sensitivity, but I suspect it will be played for shock and laughs.

-Bad:  The attitude that Tracy's main job qualification was being hot and willing to sleep with her boss.  Excuse me?  When the character was introduced, she was a formidable political analyst, and sexiness was secondary to her brain and ability for ice-cold manipulation.  When did she become classy Monica Lewinsky?
-Good:  There is no good here.  Tracy's journey from cold-blooded revenge killer to repentance to returning to her old life to giving it up has all felt too abrupt.  I've never been a huge Ali Larter fan, and her arc so far this season  has done zero to convert me.

-Good:  Bennett's comment about Peter's nice arm.  Hee!  It IS a very nice arm.  Also, I liked the fact that Peter came to Bennett looking for advice (and Nathan revealing his mystery powers to Peter.)
-Bad:  Missed opportunity to have Peter take his shirt off to see if the mystery tattoo had moved.  The show just doesn't do as much fanservice as it used to.  If the writing is going to be so irregular, they really need to step it up to give us an excuse to watch the show.  *is shallow*

Now, for the regular concluding features of my Heroes episode responses:

-Mohinder, you idiot! (The reason for his idiocy this season:  mysterious absence!  In addition to being an annoying loose end, it denies those of us of a male-fancying orientation the opportunity to ogle.  Get your pretty ass back on the show, Suresh!  Plus, the voiceovers just aren't the same.)

-Who's wearing the Heroes stupidity hat in this episode?  Hiro!  When attempting to stop that dude from photocopying his butt wasn't enough the first time, he should have tried a different tactic instead of going back to try to fix the same mistake over and over and over.

-NEEDS MOAR CLAUDE!
