Decaf soy latte with extra brains

When Ma Petrelli announced that Sylar was going to be Mr. Bennett's partner, I thought to myself "gee, I hope we're going to get goofy, slightly cliched buddy-cop comedy!"  Lo and behold, I got my wish!  Sylar's FBI agent impersonation was hilarious.  Bennett's warning Sylar to keep out of the way and Sylar's coming in anyway just in time to save the day was classic partner-bonding.   Then Sylar gorily murdered some people. What amaverick that rookie cop is! This is the best partnership ever.

Horned Rim Glasses Man and Sylar:  One's a family man with a shady past, forced back into a web of treachery to protect the ones that he loves.  The other's a disturbingly hot, well-spoken, telekinetic superhero with mommy issues and no taste for eating brains after all!  They fight (and commit!) crime!!!!

However, I do not like the apparent addition of Sylar to the Petrelli family tree.  I'm hoping Ma Petrelli is just trying to manipulate Sylar.  If he is, that means Sylar and Claire are also related, further adding to the bizarre and vaguely incestuous vibes in that family.

Hiro and Ando were absolutely adorable, although Hiro appears to be taking the Heroes stupid pills this season.  I like the bickering with their nemesis Daphne.  Plus, the Haitian is always a good addition to an episode.

Mohinder didn't do anything stupid in this episode.  That is possibly because he didn't appear at all. Maybe he can gradually work his way up from here, next week appearing without any dialog (and preferably without a shirt) to see if he can avoid any mime-based stupidity.

How does Claire expect to learn to fight from someone who probably fights mostly using a superpower that Claire doesn't have?  Girl, go take karate classes or something.  Then go watch some Buffy and learn a bit about what it takes to be  a teenage superhero and pray you can learn to be half that awesome.  The scene in the shipping container made no sense; why wasn't her biological mom suffocating, and why was Claire in agony if she no longer feels pain?  Also, her "real" motive for wanting to do heroics doesn't necessarily count since it was confessed under torture.

I'm withholding judgment on Matt's storyline, but the talking to a turtle last week was fantastic.  My fervent dislike of Nikki and her entire plot made me annoyed about the introduction of her lookalike, but I am moderately intrigued by what's going on there.

It's nice to have something to distract me from how very long it is until we get any new Doctor Who.

Speaking of the Doctor, you know who we need to see more of on Heroes this season?  Claude!!!
