So far, so good...
Firstly, thank you to all that have responded to the crappy news my mom got on Monday about the cancer coming back. Such kind words from so many beautiful friends. *Group hug*
So mom went to get a PET scan this morning, which she was there from 7AM-9:30, and it was either a male nurse or a male doctor who gave her a bit of information that helped settle her. He said the cancer hasn't spread anywhere else, it's just that one area. Although we haven't recieved the "official" information, and the person my mom talked to wasn't even supposed to give out any results, we still feel a bit better knowing it hasn't spead.
Hopefully in the next two days we'll see what mom has to do, but we think chemo and another surgery to put a port in her chest, and then another surgery to remove it later.
All we can do now is wait to see what needs to be done and just hope for the best once her treatments are done.
