I enjoyed this fic when I beta-read it and I've enjoyed re-reading it too. Steven and Vicki aren't my favourite companions, largely through my lack of familiarity with them (though I'm getting there slowly!), but I like the way you've drawn them both. And the story is a fun look at an historical event.

Firstly, this is lovely. (I'd forgotten I included humorous - I think really I meant 'fun' anyway). Secondly, not only pinning down such an underused (and underservedly so in my opinion) TARDIS team so well but using their character traits to dictate the story is great. Vicki being enthusiastic and very much herself; Steven's desire to see the first flight and the Doctor's delight in old vehicles (as well as seeing everything as his own idea) is spot on. I didn't really have a clue what I expected off such a vague (sorry!) prompt, but this is lovely. Proper historical stories are in short supply.

Seriously, I love it. I had no idea what would come of my prompt and when this was posted, I was minding somebody's office over lunch and it cheered me up no end.

Steven and Vicki definitely are an under-used team, which is a shame because they're great together - both on screen and here. I love them taking old forms of transport, Vicki dressing up and Steven wanting to see thh first flight. And the Doctor getting all excited about a car.

Very cool bit of historical fiction. I followed Lost_Spook here, just for a read.
Sometimes the first Doctor could be such a cool character. It nice to read a piece with him that makes me feel like I could picture it all in my head, with the characterizations and such being so well done.

This was just lovely; very in-character, and a great idea for a historical event to visit, especially with Steven involved! The last line is magical.
