Tendonitis sucks

Went to bed Sunday, I was fine... I woke up Monday with pain in my right wrist... which increased until Tuesday afternoon, when I left work in the middle of my shift to go to the doctor.  He diagnosed me with wrist flexor tendonitis.

I took Wednesday off work, am on Percocet (Endocet), and have a brace I've been using off and on... he doesn't want me wearing it all the time so I don't stiffen up.

I wasn't too bad Thursday or Friday, but Friday evening it started acting up again... sadly, chainmaille is one of the more provocative activities, which really bites as I have 2 pieces I want to make for a show in October, and the deadline is Sept 1, and I only just got the materials last week.  At least I've figured out some of the specifics, it's just trying to weave a few rings here and there where I can.

Today I'm trying to do work, it isn't too bad so far... distractibility is more of an issue than pain today.  I'm at 84 minutes right now for this week, want to hit at least 150 by tonight if I can, and hopefully 250 by tomorrow night.  We'll see how things go.  On Monday, I'm calling to get physiotherapy set up, as the doc suggested, to strengthen my wrist(s).

But speaking of money, it's good news for once!  I'm very much looking forward to calling in on Monday and paying off the last $250 of my defaulted federal student loan! It's been hanging over me for 8-9 years now.  I'm also glad I'll be out of collections before I turn 30 :)

Then the rest of this Accentus pay is going towards an adjustable keyboard tray I've been eyeing, which should save some stress on my hands, and a trackball to replace my mouse, so I'm not putting as much strain on my wrist, I hope.

wrist, work, pain, money
