Gah!
Conn's been trying for the last month or more to get vacation from work, and they've been turning him down. Yet they told him that if he didn't put in for vacation by this week, before the schedule for the next quarter is out, then they'll assign his vacation for him.
So he put in for the first week of June and second week of July 2 weeks ago. He hasn't yet heard back if that was approved or not.
I already have the second week of July off except that Friday, which I can reschedule to work the weekend before if I want to, and I was planning to put in for the first week of June once we heard that his was approved. We were planning on going to his parents' on PEI for both weeks, and would borrow their car in between, so we can have some freedom of movement, which we both need at this point.
I get an email today from work that due to our being behind production for the last several weeks, that no new vacation is being given out until further notice!
....how much do you want to bet that either today or tomorrow Conn will be approved for June now?! Just when I don't have a chance of getting it as well!
