Thinking Tudor....

So... Conn's been contemplating doing either Landsknecht or Tudor/late Elizabethan for a little while. I've also been rather fascinated by the doublets on the Attack Laurel's site and the trim patterns.

I'm slowing starting to form the idea of doing us both something in the late Elizabethan or Tudor style (is there much difference? Please educate me).

And please smack me, I'm actually thinking of hand-sewing both, in the style also on the Attack Laurel's site. I already do a pretty small stitch, so the whip-stitching shouldn't be an issue. I'm also considering doing this on my Persian that's yet to be started, though I did get more silk for it at Silver Silk's sale last month.

I have NO idea where I'm going to find the time for this, though. This is a 2-3 year span I'm talking about, because right now I can't find time for my already existing personal projects!

Speaking of those, I have a new inlay of a dragonfly and waterlily, and the anodized titanium I'm doing is wonderful! Just yesterday I got a gorgeous green for the lily leaves, I'm thrilled with it! A second coil came out a bit yellower, but I'm going to be mixing them all up, and hopefully the slight variation will add visual interest, if it's noticeable at all.

Otherwise I'm poking at a couple socks, bought more sock yarn and lace yarn, and some new needles.

Looking forward to war camp this weekend, now it's getting the work done before then!
