Virus...
Well... I've had 2 popups... but for different sites than what they have been the last 3 days. Also, that damn yellow triangle hasn't come up... so if I have something, it seems to be something different than what I had, which I think was mostly virtumondo, although the first time I scanned, it came up with 5 trojans.
Also, I found out that my computer refuses to restore back.... and the furthest back it has a restore point to is Sunday morning, which is around, or maybe before, all this started. It says 'Last Known Good Configuration' but it won't restore... it'll go through the process, but when restarting, says it can't complete it :(
Ah well, learned my lesson, and hopefully things are healed... think I'll run adaware again, see if that catches these popups or something.
Edit: Too much to hope for... the usual symptoms are back :( I;m trying a tool by Symantic aimed at virtumonde, let's hope that works...
Please, any geeks out there, please offer advice... something other than using another OS or wiping the drive... the first doesn't help me (right now), and the second I want to avoid if at all possible.
