Last night was a bit of a let down. I hadn't heard any of Cowtown's stuff before I went to see them, so I assumed that they were just another garage rock band like the type that usually come to Bunbury. But they turned out to be more Aussie hip-hop stuff, kind of like the Hilltop Hoods, so I didn't really get into it because I wasn't reeeally in the jumping around hip-hop kind of mood. But apparently they are huuuge in Bunbury, the place (Prince of Wales hotel) was PACKED. Unfortuantly Bunbury people are... a little more uninhibited at gigs than Perth people, so there was a lot of people rushing the stage/screaming lyrics in my face/sweating on me (ewww). Also, the drummer was talking to Trish & I before they played and we didn't even realise he was actually a member of the band. Lots of girls were giving us evil looks, and the girls I know that were there were kicking me in the back and miming something but I hadn't even heard their music, let alone seen what they looked like! To me he was just some weirdo with curly hair who kept looking at us expectantly and kept mussing up Trish's hair and then tried to (repeatedly) hit on her. It does kind of suck being the wingwoman sometimes. All of my good friends are exceptionally beautiful but all I have is the ability to fill out a top quite nicely & witty banter, hehe.

Also Trish & I were standing near the stage kind of just nodding in time to the music but not dancing, & one of the singers (rappers?) came and danced next to us to try and get us to dance. I was humiliated! I always get embarrassed about dancing at gigs because I think I look really stiff or really choreographed. Eep! I would have to say that it is one of the most random gigs I have ever gone to, with the support act actually dressed up as a cow, samplings of Borat as an introduction for the band, an eeeendless supply of dick jokes & yo mama jokes, and 5 out of the 7 band members dressed in flannos and wifebeaters. But all in all it was good to catch up with Trish and to see people I didn't expect to see there. I didn't bring my camera down with me so no photos, but I wore a blazer which I stole BACK from my sister, jeans, a scarf & my blue flats. Also I had a stack of new bracelets on but I lost one of my new favourite ones :(

Also I am in love with this picture:
