update on Jager

today Jager is getting used to me alot. she has learned how to crawl in her ball that you put on the floor on her own, thought it was only for a short period of time (like 2 min.) then she ran into the wall and scared herself...she will try again tomm. The other thing she learned approx. 10 min ago was how to crawl in her new wheel. she had previously only known metal wheels that were open and her cage has a plastic one connected to the cage wall that she cannot see thru and she was intimidated for the first couple days. I hear her now as i type this running in the wheel which is good. I bought her a pound of food today which was only $1.50 which is awesome! I have given her a small piece of washcloth to see if she is willing/wanting to nest with it. I also have experimented today and yesterday in snack foods. She likes wheat thins, didn't take the chicken in a biskit craker (yet) and i had recently found she likes peanuts alot (like most rodents) and i think she'll like the surprise carrot i left her at the top shelf of her cage if she goes and looks for it. That is another thing she has had a hard time adapting too but i'm sure she's more happy...she lived in a small 10 gallon cage w/her brothers and sisters at the pet store. now she lives in a "3 story" house w/fresh water daily, nice food bowl, nice wheel, a blanket if she chooses, a paper towl roll to play in, a wood chew block thing. HEHE spoiled little girl. her cag is like 24 1/2 " in length, 12 1/2 " in width, and 24 1/2 " in Height. pretty big for a lil girl but i'm noticing her happily adjusting to her space and zooming around like a idiot today. she scales her walls instead of using her ramps to get to the other levels. funny lil girl....well i'm done rambling about my newest pet for now..yes that does mean there will be more....

boyfriend took me to Outback for a nice surprise dinner...ahh... so romantic! though am sad to report my roomie BB didn't get my TLC tonite b/c of his romanticism...i will love on her more later :P
