Red Robin and Wren are working a case and get hit by a ray. They are transported into the Young Justice cartoon verse. Red Robin somehow convinces the Justice League and Young Justice that he is the Batman of his alternate dimension. That he is that universes Batman like Owlman was in the evil them verse. Since Wren is his sidekick and he is a Robin with their maid Ms. Alice Pennyworth, they somehow sell it. Young Justice has just run off with Wren to show her the base (since her young team is Teen Titans and they have a tower.) Red Robin is injured and in the YJHQ infirmary. Wren had impressed the others with her fighting prowess when she protected RR when they just came through. She also spoke in Romani, the gypsy language Dick Grayson grew up speaking, since he was a gypsy. (The reason they use it in the future is because Romani is spoken by only about a quarter million people in the world. So if they use Romani over the comms only a select few can interpret their chatter. This helps keep down looky-loos. And because a code de-scramble isn't enough since kids have programs to de-scramble.) Wren uses Romani then Martian, Atlantian, Arabic, and a couple others during the introductory phase.
"So I bet my Wren is cooler then your Robin," Red Robin asks the Batman as he crosses his arms in pride. He has the distinct advantage here with Wren being third generation Bat and trained by not just one Batman but 2 with 5 Robins and 3 Batgirls to boot. Her being a Savant Genius that spoke over a dozen languages doesn't hurt either.
"I highly doubt that," the original Batman said with his usual dark voice.
"My bird is wanted by the league of assassins and Ra's al Gual."
"So is my Robin."
"Mine has a habit of breaking Superboy's nose on a regular basis."
"Robin has bested Superboy in many matches," the fact that he hasn't really hurt Superboy, just frustrate the teen is left unsaid.
"At the firing range, we use our Flashlad for target practice. Her shot record is 1 minute, 23 seconds before she hits him."
"Why would Robin learn to use a gun?" Batman asks in alarm. "Bat-rangs work just fine."
"We learn guns because we need to know and understand an enemy's weapons. I've been very through in my training methods," Red Robin explained. He, judiciously, did not mention that it was Red Hood that was training her in the use of guns.
"My Robin is trusted by all in the Justice League. He knows about the lives and secret identities of heroes and villain alike." Batman said in his low timber but you could tell he was concerned. Whether it was displeasure about the guns or Wren's superior skills was hard to determine.
Red Robin huffed. "Mine came to me knowing I was Red Robin and can tell if someone is a human or alien just by the way they breathed. She's also been trained and crossed trained by about half the Justice League and their reserves. When she became my ward, I gave her the text books for high school and some GED workbooks. She graduated within 2 months. She's been taking college courses this past while now. We estimate she'll finish her Bachelors, plural, within the year and get her PhD by 15."
Red Robin puffed up in pride. Wren was a once in a lifetime find and he was responsible for shaping her to be the best person she could be. And she had the best people to train her. Not just the Batman but Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl. If only the current Robin, Damian would get his head out of his keester and help. "She also played an important role in a recent end-of-the-world crisis. She's technically in charge of her Teen Titan team but doesn't feel that she can handle the responsibility. Wren can handle it, you know. She just doesn't like dealing with the public."
Red Robin doesn't mention that she's actually an Autistic Savant and doesn't handle public relations and personal interactions well. On missions, Wren was in charge, everywhere else, the new Speedy, Lian was in charge. (In my head, Wren is part of Titans Jr with Flashlad & Flashgirl aka the Tornado Twins. Lian is the new Speedy and an archer. And there is a random super powered, flying alien that is kind of like Superboy Jr. And a new Aquagirl.)
"Wren was also, temporarily, banned from Paradise Island. You see, between a military maneuver between the US Marines and Amazon warriors, she threw some Poison Ivy sex pollen sacks into the melee. My Wren is personally responsible for dozens of Amazonian pregnancy, including Wonder Woman. And if you think an Amazon PMS'ing is bad, try at 8 months when their joints are achy and ankles swollen. I will never forget the look of anguish when it was Superman's turn to rub her feet when his wife was there watching."
