Random Wren
Author: So Annabelle Smith has been placed in Bruce Wayne's custody. I'm thinking because when her siblings started looking for her when it was discovered she was missing, the kids somehow got the police involved. The Smith's are about to loose all their kids for neglect or whatever while there is an investigation but Bruce Wayne steps in with his high priced lawyers and Wren is made his ward.
The Wayne foundation became involved in the case just after her rescue from the island. She was at a hospital for a while to have tests done and to protect her from a bit of the media storm. Bruce Wayne got officially involved since he champions orphans and problem children partially through the Martha Wayne Foundation and adopting 4 kids. (Dick, Jason, Tim, Cassandra) I have Tim in a wheel chair since he often has problems with his back post assassination attempt that he staged years ago. (And he's still a bit stiff and sore from falling through the building when he met Wren.) As hero's they're interested in the case but they can take a public and personal interest because of the foundation. Its at the hospital that Wren identifies Bruce Wayne as Batman. They have to do some quick work to cover since Wren is in the public eye and is hopped up on psychotropics that were in the fruits she was eating and residual fear toxin that lingered on the island. The drug cocktail as well as whatever the aliens did to her while she was at their mercy is what enhanced her abilities and helped her live. When Momma Smith comes to see her baby girl, she calls her "her little songbird," which is what leads to her becoming names Wren.
So this takes place after Annabelle Smith becomes Wren and Batman knows that the League of Assassins want to take and train her. She's already trained a little under Alfred, after having sneaked into the cave and watched them. Alfred gave her an Olympic gymnast inspired work out uniform as kind of a bribe. She can only wear it in the cave for training. But she wore it when she sneaked away on the jet and went to the Teen Titans Tower to avoid Talia al Ghul's check up on her. She also wore a domino mask but put it on poorly.
