Me to character in Fic I'm Writing: "Why won't you do what I want? Why are you insisting on going off into tangents, and flashbacks, and, and -"
Character to Me: "Because I want backstory. I DEMAND backstory! Where did I come from? Why am I so angsty? Why -"
Me: "You don't NEED backstory!! I'm just using you to get the MAIN characters together! You're the cliched character hitting on one of the main characters to get the other one jealous! This isn't Pulitzer Prize Winning stuff here! You are a throwaway character, dude!"
Character (Who Doesn't Even Have a NAME): "But I could be great! You could do a spin-off story with me as the main character!!"
Me: *headdesk* "You're just there to get the others to the point of sexin'!!! You are a speedbump in the road of life - no, not even a speedbump! A tiny crack in the road of life!!!!!!"
Character: *whining* "But -"
Me: "THAT'S IT!!!!!!!" *Deletes all references to character in story "Die, die, DIEEEEEEE!!!"
Er *koff* Really, time to sleep. May Nameless Character #32714567 rest in peace.
