Fanfic meme
Saw this on an old post on dark_daebereth 's journal and some of the questions interested me.
Now what I'd really like to know is whether any of my answers surprised anyone. Not that I expect they will, I'm just curious.
1. Which is your favourite fic? whatever I'm writing at the time. Of what's posted, I have favourite scenes, but not a favourite fic. Currently I'm working on a (major) Jazz-story prequel to Obsessed (working title "Musician") and toying with a continuation to Foreign ways. But of course SoaL and Echoes are taking up most of my attention right now :)
2. Which is your best-received fic? Story of a Lifetime in terms of dedicated readers, but possibly my Thunderbirds fic Rescue in terms of quick acceptance in a fandom. (Trust me, if that hadn't been so well received, none of my TF fic would've made it beyond my hard drive)
3. Which is your worst-received fic? The box, no question. Yes I know it's a bit depressing, but I'm kind of fond of it all the same.
4. Which is your angsty-est fic? I'm going to go with Foreign ways, though Sanopi's pretty angsty and so is Obsessed. I do lots of angsty.
5. Which is your funniest fic? Immaculate conception (though I had to compare numbers of reviews against Waiting's end to be sure)
6. Smuttiest? uh... hmm. Tough one since I don't really do smut. I'll go with Share the love (drabble 6 from a set of 9). Either that or Important decisions. (Or the bonding scene from SoaL?)
7. Fluffiest? urk, don't often do plain fluff either. Lets say Bright memories.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic? I've been told I have, Sanopi in particular. Does it count that I've been a bit teary writing a few scenes myself?
9. Which fic frustrates you the most? Chaos came with a bang. One of these days I'll get around to sorting that mess out. Maybe. I still like the ideas, but the execution was really not the best. :(
10. Which fic was the most fun to write? Waiting's end. (Or Part 8 of SoaL with the Wreckers and Prowl gambling, but I figured I'd better go with a whole fic as an answer)
11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created? Now that's a really tough question to answer because I've got so many. But if I have to pick only one, I'm going to go with Fuselink from Echoes & SoaL.
12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart? Multipart - the bunnies won't stop breeding!
13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying? The character I write most is G1 Prowl and I think I do a reasonable job of him, though I wouldn't ever claim he's pure canon IC - firstly because I've got too many variant Prowls to make that claim, and secondly because G1 Prowl is an idiot. I'm sorry, but it's true. *sigh* That said, I like my Prowls. ^_^
14. What character is the most difficult to portray? There are lots, but the canon character I find hardest to wrangle with is Ironhide. Yeah, go figure.
15. Tag five other authors! Not gonna pick anyone. Take it or leave it as you please :D
