"STOP blowing holes in my ship"
Sooooo... I finally figured out how to use the layering feature. This may be obvious to everyone else, but for me... this is QUITE a big deal... as sad as it is. So with this new found knowledge I made a few icons, which only took me 2 1/2 hours. Ha. Of course it's basically just layering, but I thought I'd nervously share them anyway. Hehe...
#1 I'd made previously using another program, and I know I commented on it before, but I thought I'd add it in anyway. All the rest are ones I made tonight.
#2 is my favorite and was actually the first one I did after realizing that I had just done something with layers!

Let me know what you think... hopefully I'll be making more as I figure more out about this program. I'm a little more optimistic about learning how to do this now that I've actually figured something out.
