NOT!
Seriously, I know I'm supposed to be doing hard work, but I'm basically just doing a normal amount of undergrad work and calling it good. Its picking up now, with finals coming up, but I continue to be astounded at my lack of stress/concern. This semester might bite me in the ass though. Last semester I just kinda cruised through, but I think I was at least being sensitive to my learning process. I did my reading and paid attention in class, even if I didn't "study" or write case briefs or anything. This semester I have been bringing my laptop to class and been way more into AIM than class. Participating lots less. I may pay for that. It could mean I may have to actually study for finals. Last semester I just made an outline/cheat sheet and called that good enough...Oh, and Torts Pictionary. That was good studying. Who doesn't love getting drunk and calling it studying? And I think it helped everyone!
Erm, what else? I'm doing better with the boy. I think I'm getting a little more comfortable with the money thing and he's getting a little more ok with me teasing a bit about it. That's a huge thing for me, especially since I keep learning more and more about how insane it all is (I'm pretty sure his dad owns half of South Beach). He has tried to buy me a tv twice though, and that kind of pissed me off. And he asked if I "needed cash" before I left for Spain. I coulda slugged him. At any rate, those were isolated incidents that are becoming less frequent. There is a time issue because he works A LOT and is out of town A LOT so I see him like, once a week. I talked to him about it though and he's been good about emailing/calling more in between. He's going to meet a couple classmates for the first time on Friday. They are probably the two wierdest, most inappropriate people I know, so perhaps not the best choice to represent my friends, but Michael's pretty laid back and I think he'll just think they're funny. Even if its a weird two for him to meet, I'm happy about it. We've been exclusive for like, two months but I've been reluctant to consider it a real "relationship" since we don't know each other's people. I think I might feel a bit more relationshipy once he's met some of my friends.
Hrm. Oh! Spain rocked! I never dreamed international travel could come in the form of relaxation and stress-free enjoyment, but it can! They got us (my cousin and I) from the airport. They had stuff planned out. The houses were great. Our beds were cozy. Everything was paid for! That was super amazing because I was on a really really tight budget. It was crazy to be on vacation and not have to have all sorts of anxiety at a restaurant over how much you can spend on lunch. The food was AWESOME too. We tried like 3-5 dishes at every meal out. So good! Hilariously, this vegetarian (me) was busted at customs lying to federal agents about the ham she was smuggling in! I am SO glad they didn't fine me or I would have to report it to the Bar. Yikes!
And um....erm....Oh, I won the auction today at school for dinner for 4 at my Contract Prof's house. My classmates and I are really excited. His kids are adorable and there is much speculation over what his wife is like. It should be pretty entertaining.
Yeah, good times.
