This is a great weekend to be in Portland.
Friday night was our show with Madness, which was great fun.
Last night, I saw QOTSA open for NIN. I ducked out 3 songs into NIN's set to catch Mr Joe Beebe playing live at Dante's. What a sweet guy. He gave me a little shoutout from the stage: "I just wanna say thanks to Tara for playing our song on the damn radio yesterday...never heard that before. Thanks for pluggin my show...too bad I can't plug something for YOU!" Who knew BB was such a flirt? After the show, he gave me a Grohl-like hug (picked me up off the floor) and kissed me on the cheek. Awwww. I'll see him a month from today, when the Foos fucking FINALLY play in Portland.
Tonight is the QOTSA thing at Powell's....I called and apparently, they're closing the entire store for it, and only FIFTY wristbands were given out. Holy crayap. The digital camera is all charged and ready. Whoo!
