Apparently no one at NBC paid attention in history class.

There are so many beautiful, picturesque, historical and simply amazing sites in China. NBC had so many choices (I'm assuming, based on how much money they're contributing to the IOC and to China) as to where to put their studio and where to place their huge picture window for for maximum aesthetic effect in their broadcasts. It makes perfect sense, then, that they'd choose to have their studio overlook the spectacular MAUSOLEUM OF MAO ZEDONG. Are you kidding me? (And if that's fake scenery on a screen, then that's even worse.) The Olympic commentary is totally ruined for me now. Every time Bob Costas is talking, there's Mao's giant portrait over his left shoulder. COME ON!
