Measure for Measure opens tomorrow. It's good. I mean, I am proud of it good. The show works because everything is dependent on the other to function. It's unified, well acted for the most part, and exciting to watch. What more can one ask for in a performance.
In other news, Romeo et Juliette is trucking right along. I had my "four week" check in today and will have my "eight week" final design presentation next week. It's in good shape, but I have only slept 5 hours this week so far and 2 of those were during what should have been class time. It's the first class in grad school that I have slept through. Not too bad, I guess, but I expect more from myself.
Tonight I want to bask in the feeling of creating something meaningful and vital in Measure for Measure. (Perhaps I overrate it, but I feel that it's meaningful and vital and that's all that matters to me.) Instead, I will do homework for my costume design class tomorrow and paint the rest of my renderings and hopefully quickly enough to get some sleep tonight (meaning early tomorrow morning before scene design at 9:00).
I will leave you with a few of pictures from the show and the wish that you all could see it because it's cool.
