So I wrote an email to McNamara telling him the situation, and since he transferred grad schools, asked for his advice. He said it was one of his biggest regrets that he took more time in grad school, that he learned more on the job than he ever did in a classroom. He said I should just stick it out and get the piece of paper. Let me just say that it was not the response I was expecting. I guess I just wanted a "grown-up" to agree with my decision.

It is just a year. I would have an MFA.

Shit.

I know that this is not an easy decision and I know that it is mine to make. I have some friends that agree I should move on and a few that don't. The world seems split 50-50, just like me.
