[Today Luke starts his first day at Mayfield High! While this would seem like a pretty normal thing for any thirteen-year-old boy, Luke has never really been in a public school setting before. Especially not an American high school.

He is completely confused what he’s supposed to do and the class schedule in his hand looks a little like gibberish.

[Sup, puzzleson? Eddie strolls out of the building, a briefcase in one hand and his cane in the other. Tipping his hat in greeting.]

Luke.

[He hasn't noticed Gizmo just yet.]

[Luke is in the process of trying to pull a stick away from Gizmo, but the robotic dog is not giving it up without a fight.]

I don't think I've ever built anything like that when I was in school. Is that some sort of science project?

Hm? Oh no, this is Gizmo! The Professor and I built him when we visited St. Mystere!

[He pats Gizmo on the head, and the dog gives a mechanical bark in response.]

Ah. Something from home, then? [He can appreciate that.] That Professor of yours must be quite the inventor.

That's right! And boy is he ever! Did you know that he once made an escape helicopter by splitting a barrel in half and using some scrap parts from an abandoned shed?

...although, just between you and me, the Professor makes a terrible pilot.
