Puzzle 004
[While up in his room one Saturday afternoon, Luke takes a break from his usual routine of kid things (his life was more and more mundane very quickly, he didn't like it at all) to revisit that sketchbook Rin had given him. The one that was used by the previous him before he was brainwashed and made to forget everything about Mayfield.
It starts out simple enough: silly drawings of animals, London, the Professor, his mother and father. Things you'd normally expect a child to draw. And then it takes a turn for the weird.
There are drawings of people he's never met before, he can only assume it was his former Mayfield family. A woman with white hair, a man with short, messy brown hair like himself, and another kid who he can only assume was his former brother. In some pictures, they look like a happy family.
In others...well, he's not sure why the man in the picture has blades sticking out of his legs, why the woman looks dead in other pictures (or at least bleeding a lot, she's covered in a lot of red crayon), and a ripped out page of what looks like someone laying on a bed. Other pictures depict places he's never seen before, along with other kinds of creepy drawings.
Needless to say, he slams that sketchbook shut pretty quickly and heads to the phones.]
Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. This new police chief business seems to have everyone in a stir, doesn’t it? I find it hard to believe they’re really pick one of us as police chief, it all sounds a bit too fishy to me.
And another thing that bothers me about this town - do you know hardly anyone ever asks you about puzzles in this town? It's absolutely frustrating! And don't even get me started about not even being able to find any hidden puzzles...
Anyway, I suggest those of us who actually are interested in puzzles maybe getting together and forming some kind of club? We can ask each other all the puzzles we want!
