(no subject)

This is only my ninth update in the entirety of 2007. I used to update 9 times in one week… I probably should just give up on writing in my lj, but I’ve had it so long I can’t give up on it entirely. I started writing a crazy long entry(when its been 4 months, what else can you do?) but it was waay too much effort. Here's what I hope will be a reader's digest version, mostly for my own memory.

This semester didn't end up being as crazy busy as it started out.
Classes-
Biomedical Ethics: dropped it- I love the subject(the biomedical part), but hate philosophical theory desperately.
Intro to Catholic Theology: So interesting. I learned so much and I really liked the professor.
Health Psychology: relatively boring and kind of useless, but not too painful.
Physics: Much better than I expected- our professor ended up being hysterical ("none of you know what this is, but sometimes men use this"- in reference to a wrench)and it was much more related to PT than I thought it would be.
Personal Finance: I learned absolutely nothing from the professor, but soooo much from the class. Read a great book, got so many ideas, and made a plan to achieve my personal financial goals(aka not live in a box due to my student loans)

Next semester I'm taking-
The Bible: Same professor as my theology class- not the class I was most interested in taking, but hopefully it will be interesting
Physics II: Definitely won't be as applicable as Physics I. I hate circuits.
Exercise Physiology: So excited. Professor Lite is awesome and I've heard such good things about the class.
Infant and Toddler Behavior and Development: I'm taking it at Wheelock and I think its going to be so interesting and applicable to PT stuff too.

After that, I'm done with undergrad- this summer I start the grad program with Gross Anatomy (we get to use the cadaver lab at Harvard Med!). I'm so nervous about the class, but so excited. I cannot wait to start the real PT program. I still have to figure out where I'm going to live, but I'm trying not to stress about it.

My living situation has been pretty awesome so far this year. My dorm room is super cute and Kaitie has been an awesome roommate. Things are still up in the air for next year, but I'll almost definitely be on campus again- I calculated apartment start-up costs for my finance class and there's no way I can afford it right now.

I thought I was going to have like a zillion jobs this semester but most of them didn't end up working out.
--The daycare I'm working at in Boston has been okay, but nothing like the one here at home- definitely not as good. But, I was able to work enough to get my daycare teacher certification(yay!) so I sent the papers in and I'm just waiting to hear back.
--I don't think I'll be doing tours anymore...Kaitie and I both had a rough time this semester. I've loved doing it in the past but I just don't think its worth it any more.
--Teaching FYE this semester was awesome- I had a great time with Erin and a fabulous class- I'm a little sad not to be doing it anymore.
--I didn't end up tutoring, and the bookstore had hired too many people so I stopped doing that in October.

I still haven't done my PT observation hours...I really need to get on that ASAP. yikes.

Dance has been mostly amazing this semester-
I'm teaching the competition team at ABDC a tap dance and they look awesome and I'm really happy with it so far.
The COF dance team had a sucky choreographer but I love love love the girls that do it. Next semester it should be better.
The Simmons Dance team has been pretty good- we really missed all the girls that were gone this semester but we got a super good group of new girls. I choreographed for the tap team and I'm really happy with how it turned out. You can watch that and all the other dances on facebook.

Dan and I have been good- nothing new or exciting on that front. As far as I know, we don't have any plans for New Years though, any ideas?

My Christmas was wonderful, and I hope everyone else had/is having wonderful holidays as well. My big present was some anatomy coloring books/study guides and flash cards- I was very excited. :) Enjoy the rest of your vacations! I'll be in Acton until probably the 21st so I hope to see everyone!
