Dallas Arts District Stroll

Jul 06, 2007 12:18

This is from a mailing list I'm on. A group of friends and I did this a few year ago and had a great time. Bring umbrellas to block out the sun (or rain), then afterward enjoy the rest of the day at any of the museums. Also be sure to bring a camera if you enjoy photographing lovely buildings and public art.

Learn more about your Arts District. Take the Arts District Stroll!

Join us for the Arts District Stroll, your private guided tour of the history and architecture of Dallas' Arts District. Bring your friends, family and coworkers on a leisurely walk through the largest downtown area (17 blocks and over 61 acres) dedicated to the arts in the United States.

Trained docents lead the hour-long, easy walk pointing out the architecture, the tradition, and the history of this unique neighborhood. While at the same time, they will be sharing with you the latest on Arts District entertainment, dining possibilities, and nightlife.

When
The Arts District Stroll is offered free of charge the first Saturday of every month at 10:30 AM or by private appointment for a nominal charge.

Starting Point
The tour starts in front of The Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art at 2010 Flora Street. Be sure to look for the red & white Arts District Stroll umbrellas marking the starting point.
