When I'm feeling sorrow and sadness and about to break
Just an ounce of faith I just need to take.
Or when Life seems to have taken it's awful toll
I should just believe...
It is well with my soul.

Or when feeling cold and distant, and searching for the end
Give me an ounce of faith to help me transcend.
Or when Life seems empty and hollow with this great big hole.
I just got to believe...
It is well with my soul.

Or when feeling angry and bitter thru and thru.
Let an ounce of faith help me feel soothed.
Or when life appears it has no kindness to dole
I must believe...
