it's done. as much a anything like that can be done in such a short period.
Marq brought it up. Elizabeth and the rest of the gang were suspicious of me. I guess they had a right to be, but it's still insulting. He told me what they had said to him. I told him i was going to bring it up on my own but was a chicken, waiting for the right moment and never really getting it.
he said i should've done this while he was on the trail. that was exactly what i was sure i shouldn't do! I think he was most upset because we had had all these plans. Tallahassee, house, trail next summer. He asked me if i ever really wanted those things. of course i did. but there's a sometimes huge difference between what you think would be great and what you can actually count on doing in the future.
All in all, it was peaceful. He asked if he could still stay the night, because he had no where else to sleep. I said sure, I still like you. And its true. but just because its true doesn't mean it'll work.
