Compelling Stories and Peformances in Genre Movies
Alan Rickman got robbed of an Oscar nomination. If the Academy is NEVER going to take acting in fantasy or sci fi movies seriously no matter how well performed, at least make a separate acting category for the genre. There were many good performances in the last installment of Harry Potter, as in other installments. I am sick and tired of them being discounted just because the Academy voters don't comprehend the art behind the special effects (which is all they ever seem to award them for, art, sound, fx).
