Knitting For Homeless People

I got up this morning and it was in the low 40s. I shivered and turned up the heat (I'd reduced it to 40 over night). Then I saw a news story about knitting for the homeless. Remembering how cold we were when we (my first husband, my children and I) were homeless in the winter even here in California, I thought maybe I should find some links about knitting for the homeless to pass on. I am not a knitter myself but I have friends and family who are. What do you knit after your entire extended family and friends are all adorned? This could fill that need. :)
