Aced the second interview

My second interview went well today and I am very hopeful. Now I have butterflies in my stomach that I might actually get the job and share responsibility for getting hundreds of people paid properly without mistakes. Yikes! I have good attention to detail in general, and a pretty low error rate when it comes to data entry, but it's not like I'm infallible. I'm sure they have built a system where things do get double checked as much as possible and they do expect some errors. Of course they want to keep those to a minimum. I know I'm really hard on myself when I do make mistakes. Perhaps it's an opportunity for me to work on that.

We haven't gotten to the stage of talking salary yet so I'll have to see what they offer before I can decide. This is assuming they don't have another candidate who has already done payroll on this scale.

One plus--one of the interviewers today is someone I've met at HR seminars locally who already had a favorable impression of me. That can't hurt.

Tomorrow Ramya, Dave and I are going to the city to have Indian food and an afternoon of shopping at interesting and exotic stores. I curse the stalking situation that prevents me from giving more details. The restaurant specializes in South Indian cuisine, though, which will be a pleasant reminder of my Hare Krsna days. We are celebrating my surgiversary.
