snow, science, sleep and songs
it is currently snowing, which you know, i'm all YAY about, but it was NOT snowing when i woke up this morning, and in its place was freezing rain. i'm all for snow in the winter, but this freezing rain nonsense needs to cut the shit. as paulie stated in rocky balboa, "ice is stupid." truer words were not spoken by a character in a movie.
although, what would be cool would be if i were to have built an igloo the other day when it was snowing, so now that all the freezing rain has showed up it would have hardened my little ice house and i could hang out in there. well...you know...if i was like, 10. not that i'm much bigger than i was when i was 10, but someone approaching their 30's may look a little ridiculous in a icy snow fort. just saying.
hopefully this snow doesn't turn into the fiasco it did last week, because i need to do christmas shopping and not spend 4 hours in my car. next year i'm doing all my christmas shopping online. the idea of going anywhere near the mall makes me want to have a tranquilizer cocktail. thankfully i know what i'm getting so that i can run in, stand in line for 20 minutes and get out. but judging by the severe weather alert messages that keep flashing on my weatherbug, this may prove to be not happening today. i still have tomorrow afternoon though. saturday is my "CSI at the museum of science with alana" day. you fucking know it. we've been trying to get there for a month now. museum of science + CSI = what better way to spend a saturday. i wish i lived closer to the MOS, i'd be there much more often.
for christmas i'd like a 100 hour nap. a small coma, if you will. falling asleep when driving to work is something that needs to happen less.
and jade tomorrow. christmas karaoke fun times. you know the drill. just show up and sing songs and have rum drinks. and christmas spirit and all that.
