In a word: Snow.
Right now, Groveland is covered in about 20 inches of the white stuff, all accumulated since about 3 or 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
This is not how I wanted to spend my weekend.
Anyways, I started my internship at FilmShack on Wednesday. The commute makes for long days (starting at 8:25 a.m. and ending around 8:15 p.m.), but the work so far hasn't been too difficult (knock on wood). Tomorrow I have my first day of production interning (the good news), but I have to make a 7:30 a.m. call in Beverly (the bad news). In fact, I'm going to have to call to see if the shoot's still on for tomorrow, what with the snow and all.
I've been reading a lot on the train the past few days. I started and finished "Camp Concentration" by Thomas Disch (an Xmas present from Landers) within a day or two's commute, and have started my second attempt at Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow" (again, a present from Landers). This time I intend to actually finish the damned thing.
Well, it's about noon, and no end to the snow in sight. Guess I'll sit around, do some reading, maybe clean my room a bit.
