TAOBEI 2017: CLAIMING & SELF-PROMPTING POST!
first, we'd like to say that we're so incredibly thankful to everyone who helped make this round happen! we really thought we were going to have to cancel our prompting round, and we were severely disheartened. but we managed to pull through thanks to everyone who participated in the prompting round, and now we're proud to present our claiming & self-prompting post! below is all the information you need to claim a prompt and write a story for this round!
WHAT IS CLAIMING?
HOW TO DO IT?
to claim, you simply choose a prompt from our archive that you want to write. at the end of our writing period, you will submit your finished work to us following our instructions, and we'll provide a medium where your work is debuted alongside other writers who wrote a fic for tao for this event - this event being in celebration of his birthday!
we will ask you to choose three of your favorite prompts, starting with the one you want to write the most, since we will allow people to claim on a first-come-first-serve basis and someone might've claimed your first choice before you!
WHAT IS SELF-PROMPTING?
HOW TO DO IT?
self-prompting is when you sign up to write your own original prompt, instead of claiming and writing someone else's prompt. if you have an idea for a fic and want to write it yourself and submit it, this is the option for you! the form will look similar to the prompting form, and all we ask is that you provide a basic outline of your idea for your fic.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- we will email you after you've submitted your claiming form to let you know which prompt you've gotten! please do give us an email you check regularly because we will use it to communicate with you and give you updates & information from here on out.
- likewise, we will also email you if you've submitted a self-prompting form, to notify you that we've accepted your entry and you may begin writing.
- please take note of the schedule. though it is tentative, we likely won't change check-in dates, so do remember to pace yourself and write regularly so you can make those check-ins!
- we do understand that sometimes life does get in the way of being punctual, so we will offer deadline extensions upon request when needed. all you have to do is ask! however, we cannot push back the posting dates. the day of the reveal will be on tao's birthday and will never change. so we can only wait for you to submit your fic for so long before we have to drop you out of the fic fest and move on. please don't procrastinate in writing and finishing your fic!
ICYMI:
- this is a fic fest / prompt meme for tao. as such, you may only prompt or write tao pairings. you can prompt / write any pairing as long as tao is the main focus! this includes: tao/exo, tao/crossovers, tao/ex-members, tao/OT3+, tao-centric, and tao/tao.
- however, tao/oc prompts will not be accepted.
- all gender identities and sexual orientations (or lack thereof) are accepted and welcomed. (◠‿◠✿)
