who is being pessimistic now?

i had a really good time at band practice yesternight, new songs came to light, two of three written by yours truly! somehow the "writing" core of the band has thinned down to eric, illia and myself... ty is too busy having fun with his girlfriend (understandable) but is seeming a bit nonchalant about his dedication, i mean, he's there once a week, the rest of us all three (sometimes four) days a week. and well, mychael is on his own thing writing words, once the songs are polished, he'll add his element to our sound... he's like that, i've worked with him before.
outside of capulet, i've been attending the bluehouse to listen to my friend's band, the deafcakes (vas on drums, nando on vocals, yuichi on guitar and gio on bass), they've got the drunken, we-play-for-fun, protopunk thing going on and it is awesome. they're playing two weeks from now at bougainvillea's. i'll be there too, performing one of my songs and a cover of radiohead acoustically, with vas on keys.

i'm taking the whole "future company layoff/downsize = no job = will have to find new job" all too well i think... probably the one thing i LOVE about myself, i don't let things of this nature bother me :)

this morning, this pregnant girl was walking towards the bank in the building i work at and i couldn't help but notice how beautiful the female body looks during pregnancy. although it won't happen anytime soon, i am SO look forward to knocking up carol <3
