I. Am. Outraged.

Today I heard about an incident that happened in Long Island, New York. A teen was having a birthday party. Both her parents and alcohol were present. Most of the neighborhood was invited. I agree with vorpal rabbit.
I had never run into the whole prejudice when I was a kid.
I lived in a small neighborhood in a little town in Ohio, not one black kid and only a few hispanics, then in highschool again I had not run into any black people.
(and yes I read about it in books, in news, etc but when you don't run into it in your viscaral life then it does'nt come home to you if that makes sense)
Not until I got to Atlanta when I was in my 20's did I run into blacks and still I was not aware of the whole racial thing ya know, call me naive or what not but I just did'nt get it as I had not run into it yet.
Now, NOW i know, since I met C I have seen some things and it sickens me, that people do that to others.
When they arrested C a couple of years ago for doing nothing more than openeing a car door on the wrong car, when they do shit to you just cause of the color of your skin it angers me.

I have to say though that I don't fathom the whole being mean to each other period, I can't understand it and can't figure out why people have to be that way and I hope I never do.
