Everybody thinks they have it so bad. I was in the army during Vietnam. My father was in WW2 and the Korean conflict.
You guys don't have it bad at all. You don't know waht suffering is. Think back to the people of the great depression. They had it bad. But they worked thru it and they didn't have welfare to fall on. Their was no social security. Family took care of family. My father's first home was an old Army tent set up down by the Sacramento River. His whole family lived it. Yea you guys have it bad.Everybody wants more that is the American dream. But it is not given to you by the Government. The American dreams is the fact that you have the freedom to make that dream come true. The government is not going to hand you a silver platter. You have to hand it to yourself. So you want to put a man in office that is going to tax us at an estimated amount of between 55% and 65% of our wages. Well I guess we will have to work a little harder yet.
War is never good. Nobody likes war. But you guys seem to forget that congress voted to go to war all but 4 of them voted yes. But Bush gets the blame? Sorry doesn't work for me. They all have the blame. Check history. Every war time President was hated. Only difference here is the fact he was hated from day one because he won even after the chads were counted.
Now I can keep going but I am sure I have already teed off some of you. God I love Politics.

Still holding on to my wallet.

Gosh i dont even know were to start!! so many things you said hit a nerve. first i am tired of people being over judgemental. Nobody and i mean Nobody, can say wether anybody else has suffered. I grew up poor just like my great grandparents and at times wondered where i was going to lay my head at night. something a child should never worry about. So yes i am concerned about the economy. do i want to be taxed? arent we already. do i think it is fair that the richest people in the US dont get taxed at all. I hope this changes. So if you happen to be one of those 3% of the population that is filthy rich and are undertaxed then i guess you better hold on to your wallet. As for Bush, he was hated prior to being put in office because of what happend in florida. Only in America can someone cheat and win the presidency.
