BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY - HOLY CRAP TEMERAIRE CROSSOVER? WHICH I DESPERATELY WANT TO READ BUT I'M ONLY HALFWAY THROUGH THE SECOND BOOK SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THARKAY IS. /sobs

Hahah, I'm always worried that I make them too fluffy. I dread the day I start writing them cooing and fawning over each other, and don't notice what's wrong. With the way it's going, that day will probably be soon, hrrgrnnn. /o\

BUT AHHHHHHHHHHH OMG<33 Temeraire was, like, my last fandom (and still is, though I'm maining AC at the moment, but--) AAAAAND THARKAY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS. He comes in the third book, I'm sorry to say. And I think the second book is the slowest of the series, kinda one of those transition novels.

But, oh man, if you ever step into the Temeraire fandom (which is tiny but filled with very lovely works), you find that crossovers are pretty popular. It is like a spreading disease. Also I can talk about Temeraire forever, so I'll just shut up now, hurrrrf.

I think I could live with them cooing and fawning over each other if it's mixed with the proper amount of "LET ME PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE YOU DAMN BASTARD" and other endearing things like that. xD

pffft well I will have to read faster then, damn. and I can kinda see what you mean, two-thirds into the book and they JUST got to China.

Once I manage to read everything I shall definitely have to check it out. AND CROSSOVERS ARE MY FAVORITE SECOND ONLY TO AUs SO YAY.

OH YEAH. Face punches are totally required, of course.

Ahahaha, one of the faults of the series is that there's just so much damn traveling, but sometimes it's INTERESTING traveling, but Throne of Jade was kind of... meh. The only good thing about rereading is that I get to see Granby being all adorable in addition to the usual Laurence+Temeraire sweetness, heh.

And, hee, if you need any recs when you finish, I will gladly vomit up some links. 8)

At least it's realistic? If I were writing them it'd be FLYING ON DRAGONS ALL THE TIME. xD aha, I love Granby and totally ship Granby/Laurence like woah and Temeraire skdjfjksdf best dragon ever.

Hahah, I'm glad you think so, because there's A LOT OF IT. And, hee, I ship Laurence/Granby too (though I swear Laurence is my bicycle, I can pretty much ship him with ANYONE, hurrrr). They are so loyal and sweet together. ;u;

I try to be optimistic about things? xD (lmao, I can totally get behind that. I also like, uh, Laurence/Riley and Laurence/Jane so far, but everyone/everyone is generally my favorite pairing in all fandoms.) haha, and every time they try to take Temeraire away from Laurence and he's all "I WON'T LEAVE LAURENCE NOOOOO" I'm like "awwwww" forever.
