On screen, the grainy image is of the deceased Premier of Russia, Alexander Romanov. "If... you... have... received this." The man pauses, gasping and clutching his head in obvious pain. "Then, I presume by now I'm finally... dead. I'm... losing... I don't know... how to... Oh mother Russia. I'm forgetting... words."
"Yuri, he is controlling my mind." With visible effort, Romanov regains his composure for the moment. "He has killed me. When I'm... gone now, the command is yours. Send this tape far and wide. Take my country back for the glory of Russia and the spirit of justice." The image fades to static.
"We received this by encoded transmission this morning." Lieutenant Eva Lee sighed lightly. "Along with a proposal from the Soviet High Commander."
Tanya narrowed eyes. "And what is it?"
"Cease-fire and an offer to strike against Yuri before he can consolidate his position with more Psychic Dominators. The Soviets propose an immediate pincer attack on Moscow, with whatever forces we can muster, while Yuri has only his Black Guard to defend himself."
The Special Agent opened her mouth to speak, but a male voice was faster. "How do we know it is not a trap, Lieutenant?"
"We can not know for sure, Commander." Eva looked over her console and some file folders. "But Intelligence is confident that it's not. The Soviet Commander is already moving in from the East with several Infantry and Armor divisions, guarding a few MCV's. If they can draw some of Yuri's forces away, we can deploy a few quick-strike forces on the outskirts of the city and attack the Kremlin before the Black Guard can react."
"Oh, she's not kidding, Commander." Tanya rose to her feet. "You're calling the shots, so make up your mind. If we don't move fast enough, we'll all become slaves to that slimeball Yuri."
"Very well." Nodded the Commander. "Tell Einstein to prepare the Chronosphere, Lieutenant Eva. Lieutenant Tanya, gather up a special forces group, we will need cover while setting up inside Moscow."
Tanya smirked a bit, having a good idea of whom to invite for the surprise party. "Can do."
