Back to the heart of America. Something terrible happened, the Soviets managed to deploy a new piece of technology in Washington DC: the Psychic Beacon. What it does is send out signals
to the brain of American soldiers and citizens, telling them to join the Soviets, and since we have no protection against it, it is just a matter of time before anyone succumbs to mind control.
The Soviets "mind-controlled" the President and General Carville himself. An assault force was quickly assembled and managed to destroy the Beacon, freeing the populace and the military units in the area, but the cost in lives was staggering and the capital was left in ruins.
